Please help the Northfield Township restock its food pantry
August 20th, 2006The Northfield Township Food Pantry is currently suffering from a lack of food for certain families. With school being out, summer time means families rely more heavily on the pantry to provide meals, since their children can’t get meals from school. The pantry serves 350 township families each month, and with a lack of food and supplies, it is extremely difficult to provide efficiently for them. Anything you can do to help is appreciated. Some donation suggestions are tuna, canned chicken or salmon, rice, macaroni and cheese, instant potatoes, spaghetti sauce, pasta, canned prepared spaghetti and ravioli, canned fruit, juice, pancake mix and syrup, cereal (including oatmeal) and snacks for young children.
The Northfield Township Food Pantry is located at 3801 W. Lake Ave., in Glenview from 8:30-4:30 weekdays and until 8 p.m. Wednesdays.
Please do everything you can to help support these families in need.
